About TIGP-Biodiversity Program
TIGP-BIODIV is composed of >40 faculty from Academia Sinica and National Taiwan Normal University whose research spans diverse topics across ecology, biogeography, evolutionary genetics and genomics, marine biology, and systematics. In addition to modern lab facilities, researchers have access to a marine research station at Green Island, the Biodiversity Research Museum, and a next generation genomics core facility.

Successful applicants receive graduate fellowships for at least 3 years, if program requirements are met. During the first year in the program, graduate students can choose rotations among all TIGP-BIODIV laboratories. All courses are offered in English.
Both Academia Sinica and National Taiwan Normal University are located in Taipei, Taiwan. Taipei is a vibrant, global city, rich in cultural and near to both oceans and mountains for both research and pleasure
[Fellowship and Stipend]
TIGP provides fellowship support of NT$34,000 (about over US$1100) per month for all graduate students during the first year of their enrollment. The support will be extended for another two years upon evidence of satisfactory progress towards the degree. In subsequent years, the financial support will be provided by the students thesis advisor. The amount of the support will be at the discretion of the advisor.
Students with a B.S. or M.S. degree from an accredited institution will be considered for admission. The following criteria/material will be used to evaluate the applicant's qualifications for admission:
1. Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree
2. English Proficiency Test Score: TOEFL, IELTS or GEPT (for local applicants) scores
3. GRE Score (optional)
4. Undergraduate and/or Graduate Academic Transcripts
5. Three Letters of Recommendation
6. Statement of Purpose
7. Supporting Documents (eg. publications, original papers)
