Your Faculty Supervisor and the University's Graduate School will be with you throughout your research. Before you start, you will be allocated a supervisory team who will support your academic and professional development throughout your studies. You will receive a comprehensive induction to life as a postgraduate research student at the University. The two-day induction will provide introductions to staff, Faculties and the services available to you. It will also give you the opportunity to meet other research degree students and supervisors. Graduate School Development Programme You will be able to access a wide range of research skills training through the Graduate School Development Programme. This programme offers 100 different workshops and five special interest groups on a wide range of topics including research design, personal effectiveness and doctoral process. You can also access advanced and subject-specific training within your Faculty. Supporting you All students at the University can access a variety of support services such as the Academic Skills Unit, Maths Cafe and the University Library.
